Inspiration behind our logo ...

There is an ancient Japanese legend which promises that anyone who folds one thousand origami cranes will be granted a wish by a crane, which is a mystical and holy creature in Japan said to live for 1,000 years.

When Kristi was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2011, she and her family began folding origami cranes as a way of showing their resolve to beat this disease.

When Allegro Performing Arts Academy a place Kristi's daughters, Lauryn and Hailie dance heard of this effort, the wonderful family of Allegro students took it upon themselves to make the 1,000 cranes, which were presented to Kristi as she was recovering from her bilateral mastectomy.

Deeply touched by this gesture, Kristi decided to make the crane the symbolic logo of her new foundation, knowing it would inspire the hope, beauty and strength of a community coming together in solidarity and love.
